We have finally reached a point of absolutely RIDICULOUS attempts of Political connectedness. No more "Merry Christmas", "Happy Hanukkah", "Happy Kwanzaa". It's all "Happy Holidays".
Not that I have a problem in saying it to make sure to cover all the bases necessary, HOWEVER, the fact that it now infringes on the FUN of the season really annoys the piss out of me. I now have to FIGHT to listen to Christmas music, just "in case" someone may get offended.
I can't wear a Santa hat to work to not offend anyone, even though Santa doesn't have any religious property and is a MYTHICAL creation about joy and love and holiday cheer. NO. I must sit in a drone spiritless retail hell until the higher powers decide that maybe even a holiday shopping season is offensive to the rest of the fiscal year.
What is next? Is the Thanksgiving turkey going to be banished so as not to offend those are vegetarian? Is the Easter Bunny going to be debunked because a large bunny with eggs may bother people?? Is the 4th of July going to be banned for being to American?
DO we even have an America left? We fight for freedom, for the right to believe what ever we want without persecution, yet all of our rights AS Americans are being stripped away so as to not "offend" those who come here to enjoy what we have to offer as a country.
What the hell is wrong with us??? No other country in the world is as concerned with the public image of itself as the United States. No other country fiddles around with their nationally spoken languages, or practices, or holidays to make happy a few select individuals who may not agree with it.
GO FUCK YOURSELVES.
